Apply to clean, dry, exfoliated, and moisturized skin for best results. Temporary colorant gives you instant gratification & shows you where you are applying. Let the ingredients work over several hours to bring a beautiful bronze glow that will last for 5-7 days. Customize the depth of your tan by choosing how long to leave it on before showering. For a light color, shower after 1-2 hours. For a deeper & darker tan, leave on for several hours or overnight. For hands feet, elbows, and knees, a coat of lotion before and after application will ensure a natural look. Use a latex glove or mitt (or wash hands with soap and water thoroughly after applying) to avoid tan palms (they don’t look so natural!)
Pro Tip: Use your favorite lotion daily to extend the life of your tan & keep your bronze babe look at its best. Remember, moisturized skin is the key to a great looking tan!

Please allow 1–2 business days for us to process, pack, and ship your order. Orders placed over the weekend or on holidays will begin processing the next business day.
During high-volume periods, like new collection launches or promotional events, processing may take up to 5 business days, but we always do our best to ship as soon as possible.

Free U.S. shipping on all orders over $125
A flat-rate shipping fee of $9.99 applies to all orders under $125
Shipping fees are calculated and displayed at checkout. We currently only offer shipping within the United States.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
We ship using trusted carriers including USPS, UPS, and FedEx depending on your location and the shipping speed selected. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your package ships so you can follow it every step of the way.

Once your order is shipped, standard delivery usually takes 3–6 business days, depending on your shipping address.

Return Policy
At Timber & Velvet, we want you to love every piece you purchase. If something isn't quite right, we're here to help! Below is our return and refund policy to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
Returns & Exchanges
- We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.
- Jewelry, accessories, sale items, swimwear, and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.
All items marked as final sale are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit. These include marked-down items, promotional items, and any products specifically listed as “FINAL SALE” on the product page.
Refunds
- Refunds are issued as a store credit.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- If returning an item purchased with a discount code, the refund will reflect the discounted price.
Damaged or Incorrect Item
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos. We’ll make it right by sending a replacement or issuing a full refund.
